Cartoon Names - For Students

Melanie was a BBSS student. Graduated in 2009 with flying colors. She came back to visit some teachers and bumped into me. Saw my cartoon name on my desktop and requested for hers to be done. And it is done.

Gina is currently Secondary TWO (2010). Cartoon name drawn in the canteen after school. =)

Cartoon Names - For My Students

Done on 20 March 2010 (Saturday) while the Secondary ONES were having lunch. These students are the NCC (SEA) seniors.

The Secondary ONES NCC(SEA) Cadets were doing their 1-Star Kayaking Session at Sembawang Sea Training Centre today and tomorrow.

My Student in West Coast Park

Sent my car for servicing near West Coast Park and did my usual stuffs (reading, drawing, preparing lessons, etc) in McDonald's while waiting for the car to be ready.

Suddenly a group of my students bumped into me as they were faithfully fulfilling their Self-Initiated Community Involvement Programme (CIP).

I drew one of them who wore braces. =)

I may just put it under Caricatures. But anyway... It's been a long time since I posted anything on my cartoon section.

Bukit Batok Secondary School (BBSS) - Teachers' Day Concert 2009

The BBSS Teachers' Day Concert 2009 showcased talents of every kind.

We had a mix of vocalists, musicians and dancers. Within them a harmonious blend of all races representing unity.

What better ways than to remember that fond memories through live sketches.

BBSS NCC (SEA) - TRAINFIRE @ NCC (HQ)

It has been a very busy week with the school's opening ceremony rehearsals and students' projects. And still there is a trainfire session in the NCC(HQ) from 14oohrs to 1700hrs at the NCC (HQ) today.

What the students did was to be familiar with the function of the new rifle as well as to be efficient in handling misfeeds of rounds during firing.

BBSS NCC (Sea) - Taking Test

Right after dinner, the students had to take a test called "General Knowledge Specialist's Test".

Imagine: Cannot move, cannot talk, no noise. And a mosquito drinking your blood in full view. hahahahhahaha... cruel. That would be funny. =)

BBSS NCC (SEA) - Cadets Waiting for Dinner

I was on duty for the NCC (Sea) Land Spec Course in Amoy Quee Camp on Tuesday, 23 June 2009. There was NOTHING to do there besides being there.

I watched those cadets from various schools waiting for their dinner I decided to sketch them.

BBSS NCC (SEA) 2 Star Kayaking Theory Lesson 2009

Today is the first day for the 2-Star Kayaking Course for our Part B (Secondary Two) NCC (SEA) cadets. I had my lunch in Golden Mile, went back and saw them working hard on the spray cover exercise. What they need to do was to practice pulling the spray cover until it becomes natural and easy. The trainer, Roger, gave them instruction to repeat putting the cover on as many times as possible. I find my students very amusing as I watched them struggling to put the spray cover on for the first time. Many were exhausted after their first attempt and wished to be spared from taking it out and putting it back again...

I thought it would be nice to capture them in cartoons... so I took a scrap paper and drew them...
