Chalky is Top of the pops

Terry Bave actually created the character and drew the first ones.
Cor!! 24th July 1971.

Chalky was a very popular character and made it to number 1 in a poll.
It was a great concept drawing a picture which people think is real.
UPDATE Its by Dick Millington.

see what I mean...:)

Gordon Hill did a very lively Chalky..Gordon also drew the Krazy Gang. I will show more of Gordon's comic character work another time.
The cover of course was mostly starred Buster himself.

Reg Parlett said that Chalky was his favourite character...he said this in 1991 so theres a compliment.

Could there had been a kids animation of this....:)

Thought you would all like to see more Mighty Moth, Basil Brush and Moonbeans:) Quite simple fun characters But with a heart. I remember Baby Moonbean used to hide on one of the pages of the comic of Pippin, a kind of Wheres Wally. I remember it hid on The Amazing adventures of Morph page.

The comic work of Dick Millington

Dick Millington draws every day except Sunday for the Daily Mail. I don't believe it! A Victor Meldred (One foot in the grave)type. Suits the Daily Mail very well:))

Now that father looks like the guy from the Daily Mail strip. Whizzer and Chips early 1980's.

Now to see what happens next...:)

Love this inside book picture from Tv comic annual 1969. Also with the signature!

One of most popular Tv Comic stars..ironically not on telly. Amazing how such a simple concept could last such a long time. Man hates moth! Moth always wins! Simple man! 1959 to 1989!!!

From Whizzer and chips 2 creations Hover Boots and Jolly Roger from Dick- 1st May 1976.

Learn magic tricks from Krazy comic. 1976-77.

I loved this as a child. Baby was best! the naughty one. From Pippin.
1967-84.

From TV comic 1969 annual.
