Death of a Marvel Icon
The news is out. The Human Torch aka Johnny Storm dies in "Fantastic Four #587". The issue is the final issue of the series that launched the Marvel Age of Comics and is brought to us by Jonathan Hickman (writer) and Steve Epting (artist). Following that pivotal issue, the same creative team will launch a new "FF" series.
As for me, I'm just glad that it's not Ben Grimm and that Ben is appearing regularly now in Bendis' "New Avengers" title.
